Claims for Damage to Person or Property
If you feel that you have suffered an injury, personal damage, property damage or loss arising from activities generated by the Los Angeles County Development Authority, you may file a Claim for Damages to Person or Property by submitting a Claim form to:

Please Note: Filing a claim directly with the County Board of Supervisor’s office does not comply with the above required Claims Filing Process for the Los Angeles County Development Authority. You must send your claim to the above referenced address for processing.
Claims for death, injury to person or to personal property must be filed no later than six months after the occurrence. (Government Code Section 911.2)
All other claims for damages must be filed no later than one year after the occurrence. (Government Code Section 911.2)
Subject to certain exceptions, you have only six months from the date of the written notice of rejection of your claim to file a court action. (Government Code Section 945.6)
If written notice of rejection of your claim is not given, you have two years from accrual of the cause of action to file a court action. (Government Code Section 945.6)
